January '14 Book Haul!

Guys, I guess I'm finally able to suppress my obsession on buying too many books. I don't know how I did that, but it just happened. Last month, as you can see in December '13 Book Haul, I only bought five books. And this January, you won't believe me easily so prepare yourself, I only bought F-O-U-R books! How crazy is that? I want to kiss myself for being so awesome! Hahah. Okay, enough chit chat. Let's start the JANUARY BOOK HAUL!

I got Saman by Ayu Utami. It's embarrassing, really, but this is my first Ayu Utami's! I know, I know. How could I, right? Ayu Utami is known as a pure genius in Indonesian literary world, and I haven't read any of her works. Wow me. Moving on, I got Tintin, The Complete Companion by Michael Farr because I just realized how amazing Herge is after really reading my old collection of Tintin adventures. I just have to know the story behind all of those awesomeness. Then, because I never really like poetry but still want to give it a chance, I bought Doa untuk Anak Cucu by W. S. Rendra. Last, I have Kartu Pos dari Tomorrow Square: Liputan dari China by James Fallows. I don't remember why I bought this, but I hope I don't get disappointed later.

These three guys are the books I got from Goodreads giveaways. You guys should really try those giveaways at Goodreads. I don't know whether I'm really lucky or it's just really easy to win those giveaways. I won paperback copy of Chinalive by Bob Jonas that I can't wait to have my hands on. The blurb is so thrilling and very interesting indeed. Then I also won paperback copy of Sarvatraesa, Sang Petualang by Dian Nafi, I hope it's good. So, the thing is, if you don't win the Goodreads giveaways (most of them is to win the paperback copy), there is a fat chance for you to still receiving the e-book copy of the book. Like this one I received from the author himself, Arctic Wargame by Ethan Jones.

So, that's all. It's not much, I know. But it's an accomplishment for me, so yeah, I'm quite happy about it. See you next post then, lovely people!
